New York

New York is the first place where I lived in the US and for that reason (but not only) it will always have a special place in my heart. I haven't been here for more than 10 years though so I'm thoroughly enjoying these few days of work here. New York for me is an atmosphere, an energy unlike any other and plenty of other details: crowds rushing of the subway all over the streets, yellow cabs omnipresent, honks, sirens...

It's also the food vendors on the streets:

I never acquired the taste for pretzels though. The music in the streets is also different from San Francisco - Jazz is big here.

I'm a tourist now here so I did the touristy things! Central Park...

New York at night Hard to be more touristy but I even went to the Rockefeller Center, because the Xmas tree is such a big tradition in NY. Getting closer but certainly not lonelier! Times Square is unreal at night with huge walls of LCD signs surrounding it. And in a middle small bistrots chairs and table like if we were in some terrace in Provence. Only difference is that the sun would be replaced by UV lights :) Different place, different style... This last one was quite strange: two attractive young ladies lightly dressed in a corner window of 5th avenue! I think...
